Answer: Don't worry, the information on your Creative profile page is completely optional and we will never share your personal information (full name and e-mail address) with anyone, including our different clients (unless you give us permission to do so), in order to protect your intellectual property rights.
Question: I've changed my mind and don't want to be a member anymore, how do I delete my account?
Answer: Sad to see you go, but send an e-mail to contact@mypitch.com requesting deletion of your membership and we will take care of this as soon as possible.
CLIENT BRIEFS AND UPLOADING YOUR PITCH/ES
Question: What kind of clients are using your service and what are the usual client briefs on Mypitch.com?Answer: We work with clients such as Dressmann, SAS, DDB, Starcom, Avis, Rica Hotels, PriceRunner, Intersport, Sharp and more, with creative briefs containing everything from Print-ads to TV-ads, store and hotel design to complete brand strategies and social media ideas. Have a look at our Clients section for more information.
Question: Where can I find and read the latest client briefs?
Answer: The startpage is a good place to begin with, since that's where we're showing our current client briefs complete with a "timer" function which shows you exactly how many days/hours/minutes/seconds that's left until deadline. By the way, this timer works globally so it should display the same amount of time whether you're a creative member from Sweden, USA, China or New Zealand... :-)
You can also visit the Client briefs section where you can see all the client briefs, both current- and finished ones...
Question: How can I participate in a current client brief and upload my idea/pitch?
Answer: If you're logged in a "Submit your pitch" form should be visible at the bottom of the brief page. If not, please login and this form will appear instantly...
After this, just enter the information for your pitch, upload a thumbnail image, an optional Vimeo URL link and password, perhaps some larger images and a PDF-document and you're good to go!
Question: How do I submit a video/movieclip into the pitch form?
Answer: Do you see the Vimeo URL and video password fields? On Mypitch.com we're using the Vimeo service in order to display video (in possible HD-quality) so in order to submit a video/movieclip in your pitch, you must first have a Vimeo account (free), upload your movieclip to this and add a short password under "Privacy settings".
Then copy & paste the complete URL-link for this clip to the Vimeo URL formfield and re-enter the password into the video password field (see more information about this in our instruction video above by jumping forward 5:36 into the clip).
Question: What about images, which formats and sizes should I use?
Answer: For the thumbnail images, you can upload a png, gif or jpg/jpeg-image with maximum filesize of 2 MB. The image should to be 262x126 px or larger. If you upload a larger image it will be downsized/cropped to 262x162 px and our system will also implement a nice black border with a shadow beneath it, see example below:
And please use the same method for the larger images: upload a png, gif or jpg/jpeg-image with maximum filesize of 2 MB. The image/s should be 575x325 px or larger. If you upload a larger image it will be downsized/cropped to 575x325 px and our system will (once again) implement a nice black border with a shadow beneath it:

Question: Fine, so I've uploaded everything now, but what does the "Hidden comment" field do?
Answer: This comment field is for the administrator and the brief owners eyes only. You should/can use it if you are about to upload a new version of your pitch or another pitch for the same brief.
Question: Does this mean I can't edit my pitch once I click on the "Save" button?
Answer: That's correct, you can't edit or delete your pitch after it has been uploaded... We've made these changes since we experienced problems with users editing their pitches after the deadline of the brief (which is not allowed), and in order to avoid this we had to remove the "Edit"-functionality and add a "Hidden comment" field instead.
So please use this field when you're uploading an updated pitch for the same brief and simply write a short message to our administrator, for example: "This is my updated and improved pitch, please remove the old version...".
However, we have to admit that this solution isn't perfect and thats why we're looking into an "Edit your pitch-solution" for all creative members which can only be used until the deadline of the brief expires. And hopefully we will be able to launch this feature in a not too distant future... Meanwhile, please use the "Hidden comment" field and also the "Preview" button to make sure your completely satisfied with your uploaded content.
Question: Ok, I feel pretty satisfied with my first pitch but I want to upload another idea/proposal, is this possible?
Answer: Certainly, feel free to upload as many pitches as you like! The more the merrier!
Question: Oh no, my computer got overheated, crashed, was infected by a deadly trojan horse or abducted by aliens, so all content for my pitch is gone which means I'm almost certainly going to miss the deadline for the brief now! Will you give me permission to upload even after the deadline has expired or can I send you a new version of my pitch via e-mail?
Answer: Sorry, but this is not allowed and our website will not let you upload after the brief deadline has expired. And we're afraid we can't allow you to e-mail your pitch either since this wouldn't be fair towards our other creative members who worked against the proper deadline date...
PRIVACY, LEGAL RIGHTS AND PAYMENTS
Question: Do you post my pitch/es to the public as they come in, or do you wait until the deadline? Answer: Only you and the client/brief owner are able to see your pitch/es until the medalists are elected. By doing so we protect your property rights and ideas for the current briefs from other visitors, users and clients on the site.
After that, its up to the client/brief owner to decide if they want to publish all the pitches on Mypitch.com or just continue to keep them hidden.
Question: What does it take to become a medalist, and how much money can I earn?
Answer: Well, that depends upon the brief itself as "Creating a print ad" compared to "Design a complete brand manual" are a lot different...
But in general, you will be able to earn between appx 6.000-50.000 SEK if you're the "Gold Medalist" the client/brief owner is looking for.
Question: What is "SEK", is that a Swedish currency? And how much is (for example) 20.000 SEK in USD or EUR...?
Answer: Yes, “SEK” is the currency of Sweden and stands for “Swedish Krona”. Please use a currency converter, for example http://www.xe.com/ to calculate the latest and most updated currency and foreign exchange rates (by the way: 20.000 SEK was worth approximately 2560 USD = approximately 2092 Euros - June 2, 2010...)
Question: What happens with my idea/pitch after the deadline of the brief expires?
Answer: If you become a medalist and your pitch is elected by the client (= you get paid) the intellectual property rights of your pitch will be assigned to Mypitch or a third party.
However, if your pitch is not chosen and you don't get any reward from the client/brief owner no intellectual property rights are transferred to Mypitch other than Mypitch’s right to use the information.
Question: Can I remove/delete my pitch if it's not elected by the client?
Answer: Send an e-mail to contact@mypitch.com requesting deletion of the pitch and we will take care of this as soon as possible.
Question: what happens if the client/brief owner isn't satisfied with the uploaded pitch/es and therefore is unable to chose any Medalists?
Answer: If the client/brief owner can't chose any of the received pitches or ideas, they have the right to extend the deadline of the brief. When the extended date expires, the client should chose their favourite pitch within seven days, unless they present specific reasons not to, or aren't satisfied with the result of the brief. In case of these events occurring, the client have the rights to not pay out the promised fees or rewards, but are also not legally entitled to use any of the received pitches.
To sum things up: our clients are only allowed to use the pitches and ideas which they elect and actually pay for. All other pitches and ideas must not be used in any other way, in order to protect our creative members property rights and valuable time.
Question: But I spent so many hours completing and perfecting my pitch and it still wasn't elected by the client! Why cant I get some financial compensation for this?
Answer: We understand you may sometimes feel this way, but other than to thank you for your dedication and commitment we can't really affect this since our clients/brief owners always decide the results of the brief and picks the elected pitches/Medalists...
But as we said before: if the client doesn't want to use your pitch or reward you for your hard work, at least you have the knowledge that you still owe all of the intellectual property rights of your pitch to 100% and may perhaps be able to use this in other creative briefs or assignments..?
Please read more about this on our Legal rights and payment page.
