Städa Sverige
”Städa Sverige” is currently the largest environmental campaign for Swedish sports clubs and associations. Since 1988, thousands of active athletes, mostly between 15-20 years of age given the opportunity of keeping Sweden ”litter- and garbage free”. Compensations for these efforts will go to the respective clubs (i.e. teams) for use in their youth ventures, or other activities that these associations deems important.
These associations gathers 65 000 yellow garbage bags or 1 300 tonnes of litter - each year!
The campaign ”Städa Sverige” was launched in 1988 by 44 different associations, specialized in sports and physical education, which aims to create new revenue streams for sports movement in Sweden.
Städa Sverige carry out environmental campaigns among Swedish highways and roads, on beaches in the coastal area and in cities. Target is to expand further with projects in nature reserves, mountains and water areas (sea beds).
