Real name: Suncana
1. Tell us a little about yourself:
I have more than ten years of experience in creating unique and interactive web projects. Creating complex web portals and internet campaigns is my latest main focus and passion.
Hmm, what else… I love biking, cats & dogs, Northern Europe, Fever Ray, thai food… I smoke to much… Have to quit (one day, when I will work less…) :)
2. What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of working as a creative?
The final results, definitely! It often occurs that the work process (from idea to execution) is quite long and complex, so it’s always a thrill to see "your baby" alive and on-line. :) It’s a big challenge to satisfy the client's vision, your own creativity, the target audience taste and different trends of technology.
3. Describe the creative process, do you have a working model that you follow?
Since I mainly work with web design and web architecture, I do not start working with the project if the wireframes are not final and authorized. The second step really depends of my current inspiration. But, if the first step is done properly, I usually don’t have any problems to deliver.
4. How has today’s technology helped you in your work?
Hmm… to be honest, all my work depends on today's technology. :)
I spend most of my time figuring out new technology trends, interactivity, "flow of information" etc. Trends of technology which have helped me the most in my work are definitely those connected to communication and networks.
5. What are your plans for the future?
I’m really curious to see whether my ideas and solutions will be recognized on an international market.
I also hope I will spend more time in the northern hemisphere (work and/or holiday) ;)
6. Can you describe your ”dream client” or ”dream case”.
Best case scenario is when the client gives you total creative freedom. But those cases are very rare…. In real life, you have to compromise in order to deliver a product or a project in time for deadline.
In theory, I could be my own "dream client" – with my portfolio www.xvision.org. It could have been a “dream case” but unfortunately it never feels good enough or is finished on time... So maybe it’s better to work with other peoples frameworks and with limited freedom...? :)
7. How did you come into contact with Mypitch?
First reason it’s because I really love Sweden (sorry, Norway too)! I love most of the stuff that descends from your country – music, film, nature, human rights... So, one day, while I was surfing the net in search of interesting Swedish projects, I just stumbled upon Mypitch!
8. What are your thoughts about Mypitch – The good and the bad?
I really appreciate the opportunity to work regardless my geo location. It’s only quality and professionalism that counts….and clients’ taste of course ;) !
My second motive to join Mypich is to see if my work can reach an international audience.
I would like to see more info on Mypitch's creative members (interests, inspiration etc) and more info on their portfolios.
9. Any tips for other creatives who are thinking of joining and taking part in pitches from Mypitch.com?
Read the clients’ brief very carefully and google the client!
…and don’t get too "obsessed" about the rewards. Just build your portfolio with quality projects and reward will come…eventually :)
Suncana, thank you so much for your inspirational answers and we wish you the best of luck in our future creative briefs here on Mypitch.com!
