Real name: Johan Mångsén

1. Tell us a little about yourself:
Self taught Art Director/Designer. Started my career in 1997 as a”studio slave” in an advertising agency in Stockholm, since then my career has gone from strength to strength with jobs in various agencies and as freelance.

2. What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of working as a creative?
No job is ever the same.

3. Describe the creative process, do you have a working model that you follow?
Listen, learn, identify, then idea and sketch work, evaluate, develop and implement. Thats basically it!

4. How has today’s technology helped you in your work?
There are times when I go directly to the computer instead of the sketch book, this is because the computer allows you to see a ”finished result” almost instantly. Having said that, pen to paper is still an invaluable part of the design process.

5. What are your plans for the future?
Firstly, continue working with advertising and design, then some day in the future I might start my own design agency, who knows…

6. Can you describe your ”dream client” or ”dream case”.
Amnesty International, The Swedish Church or any such organisations. I would also relish the opportunity to work with new brand launch, this gives you the unique opportunity to be there from the beginning, you could say at the birth of a brand.

7. How did you come into contact with Mypitch?
Through the internet.

8. What are your thoughts about Mypitch – The good and the bad?
A good forum where you can test your creative skills and compete with other creatives. It can however take a long time before you get any feedback on your pitch/es. Also, the fee could be a bit higher.

9. Any tips for other creatives who are thinking of joining and taking part in pitches from Mypitch.com?
Join! It’s fun to work on pitches away from your day to day work. Its good training/inspiration and great to see the other ideas that are being presented for the same brief.

Johan, thank you so much for your inspirational answers and we wish you the best of luck in our future creative briefs here on Mypitch.com!
